Dj Mandy covering tomorrow; Film festival follow up

I am out of town, and DJ Mandy will fill in tomorrow 12noon-1pm, following her Music from Around the World show. She'll likely play some hip German music~

Following up on last week's guests/features...I have seen a few screenings at the Portland International Film Festival and the Cascade Festival of African Film, and appreciated each one - e.g. audiovisually and mentally stimulating. The festivals comprise a diversity of cultures, languages, scenery, and themes - worth checking out.

Film Festivals - International and African Film

The Director of the Portland International Film Festival and a representative of the Cascade Festival of African Film will join the program tomorrow (Thursday) to preview the festivals opening this weekend, and continuing over the next few weeks.

PIFF is the largest film event in Oregon, and the Cascade Festival is the longest running African film festival in the US.

What an enriching arts and cultural opportunity!
